The Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Club is the proud home of the US OPEN Championship which has been a mainstay and is one of the four major championships of men’s professional golf and the second oldest. It is a legendary highlight of the year for players and spectators alike. This annual event is held in mid June at the Torrey Pines South Golf Course. There are two 18-hole public golf courses that first opened in 1957. It is a unique municipal facility.
