"In August 2017 my son and I were introduced to Mike and we took a lesson with him. We had an immediate connection and were so impressed that we joined Marietta Country Club where he was the director of golf instruction. For the next 5 1/2 years we took 2 hours of lessons every week together and learned a lot about golf but also became friends with Mike. When we started with Mike we considered how good a round was based on how many balls we lost. Now I am consistently in the low to mid 80s and have broken 80 three times. My son went on to play Varsity golf in high school and usually shoots in the 70’s. His personal best round was a 69. We owe Mike for improving our golf game. But, more importantly for helping a father and teenage son bond over golf and learn to love the game together. We miss Mike greatly at MCC but are sure a new crop of students will feel as lucky as we did!"
